Every region has its own style, its own tweaks on the current fashion and twists on the commonly used wares of everyday living. Discovering these things can be as fun as finding the local shops of a vacation area. Combine the two and viola! You’ve found the hidden, used treasures that speak of a region’s tribal heritage or devotion to the civil war. Whatever might influence the area.
Spokane offers plenty of opportunities for such discovery of the Inland Northwest. Along with the usual well know thrift stores such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Value Village, Spokane boasts the Northwest Christian Schools Thrift Store and the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store. Along with those, you can find clothing, household goods and more at the Global Neighborhood Thrift. This is sure to be a good find if you’re into supporting the community too as the store supports local refugees.
For a more upscale discovery, try out downtown’s Fringe & Fray boutique. There’s plenty for everyone to find.
