In downtown Spokane, entertainment is always just around the corner. If your preference is a movie, musical or play, you have plenty of options.

River Park Square offers a traditional AMC movie theater with 20 screens. For a less traditional cinematic experience, buy tickets for Spokane’s IMAX Theater at Riverfront Park. Right now, "Hubble" and "Wild Ocean" are playing daily. If something live sounds better, the INB Performing Arts Center offers musicals including "South Pacific" (Oct. 6-9), "Stomp" (Nov. 5-6), "Spring Awakening" (Jan 19, 2011), "Legally Blonde" (Feb. 10-13, 2011), "9 to 5" (March 14-27, 2011), "Cats" (April 23-24, 2011), and "Wicked" (May 18-39, 2011).

If your perfect night on the town includes great music, check the INB Performing Arts Center for current concerts or performances, including Liza Minnelli (Oct. 15), "Capital Steps" (Oct. 27), and "Yo Gabba Gabba Live" (Nov. 12). Spokane's Fox Theatre regularly features the Spokane Symphony, Spokane Opera and other performers. Upcoming shows include "Best Fest 2010" (June 18-20), and "Opening Night Russian Feast" (Sept. 25-26).

For something contemporary, fun, and perhaps a bit louder, try the Knitting Factory Concert House. You’ll find popular bands, comedy routines and even a dance party or two. Or, if you choose, opt for one of Spokane’s great restaurants that feature live music, such as Mizuna, Bistango, The Blue Spark or The BLVD. We hope that whichever you pick, you have a great time.
